The Marxism Study of Exploitation Effects on Low Class Workers as Portrayed in A Short Story Entitled “The Ant’s”

Class struggle often occurs in the upper and lower classes, called the bourgeoisie and proletariat. This class comparison is still common in schools, companies, and neighboring communities. This thesis contains a short story about the relationship between the upper and lower classes described by the company's boss who occupies the employees. The boss at a company where Arti (the main character as an employee in the lower class) works always oppresses Arti and the other employees and exploits them. Arti, who doesn't accept the boss's behavior, plans to take revenge on their boss so that there will be no more acts of exploitation and oppression. The author will take the theory of Marxism and include it in this short story. This story will make readers feel how exploitation and class differences often occur in our lives and what the lower classes will receive; the impact and suffering experienced by the lower class. The story will also give readers insight into what not to do in coexistence. To help support this thesis, the author brings two stories from the story of Marsinah and Kartini to encourage ideas to be included in the short story. Therefore, the author hopes that readers will be able to reduce the act of discriminating between classes in social life and uphold justice and equality in everyon
